What’s new with HydraFacial®?
HydraFacial treatments have become increasingly more popular over the past few years and we have seen some great results from the treatment. But skincare is always advancing, so what have HydraFacial done to keep up with the times? Recently the company has introduced some exciting collaborations with names such as Dr Nassif, Dr Zein Obagi and Dr Murad. HydraFacial has been working closely with these skin experts to create some exciting new boosters that can be added onto any HydraFacial to advance the results and target more specific skin concerns from hyperpigmentation to rosacea.
So, what exactly are these new HydraFacial boosters?
When it comes to skincare there is no one-size fits all approach which is why these serums have been developed so each HydraFacial treatment can be tailored to any skin type. They are used to either target brightening, firming, smoothing, hydrating or calming and can be added onto any hydrafacial treatment to suit your specific concern. Your skin is assessed by the aesthetician on the day to determine which booster would be best for your skin. You may have heard of the brands ZO or Murad before and maybe even have some of their products? But did you know that the boosters applied during the hydrafacial penetrate 10x deeper than the topical skincare!
Can HydraFacial help Hyperpigmentation?
As great as these new products sound, most people want to know if it can really tackle more difficult skin concerns such as hyperpigmentation? The short answer is yes however some concerns are easier to tackle than others. Hyperpigmentation often will need a course of 6 treatments using one of the brightening boosters as well as the right skincare products at home whereas dehydrated skin will see results after just one treatment. Often people have more than one skin concern which is why monthly or even weekly treatments are often recommended. But the brilliance of the boosters means that if you have a different concern on your next hydrafacial your treatment can be personalised on the day rather than having the same treatment every time.
What about Acne or Anti-ageing HydraFacial Treatments?
The flexibility of the HydraFacial booster range means your practitioner can recommend a booster for your desired outcome, whether it be to focus on treating acne, or for anti-ageing qualities. These treatment addons are fantastic way to tailor your treatment to exactly what your skin needs. Don’t forget we also use HydraFacial treatments on the body, so if you suffer from back acne, common in young men and women, we recommend a consultation with us to discuss how a HydraFacial treatment with an Acne booster will calm and improve the acne breakouts.
Can the treatment target lips and eyes?
As if that’s not enough they even have a treatment specifically for the eyes and lips which are specifically designed for those softer areas. I don’t know about you but I rarely exfoliate around my eyes or lips, most skincare products are too harsh for those areas especially when it comes to exfoliation. With the Perk treatment you get a serum to take home with you as well as an in office treatment that gently gets rid of dead skin build up, reduces fine lines and plumps up the skin.
The takeaway from this is I think we are all guilty of being lazy with our skincare routine. It’s hard to take the time for ourselves but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t. It’s a great reminder that our skin changes over time so it’s important to look after it, and who doesn’t need an hour once a month to relax and let someone else take care of our skin for us?
