HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) - Highly Effective Skin Tightening

HIFU is a hero treatment when it comes to skin tightening, targeting the superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS) layer, the same layer that surgeons tighten during a facelift. The HIFU device emits highly focused ultrasound waves that penetrate the skin at varying depths (1.5mm, 3.0mm, and 4.5mm), reaching the dermis and SMAS layer without damaging the surface of the skin.

The ultrasound energy creates tiny thermal coagulation points in these layers, heating the tissue to around 60-70°C. This controlled heat stimulates collagen and elastin production, essential proteins for skin firmness and elasticity. There is some discomfort due to the heat, but this is minimal and can be endured by most of our patients without the need of numbing cream.

Comparable to traditional fillers, Profhilo® Structura is a new ‘Lipo-lifting’ treatment, utilises innovative techniques to naturally restore the adipose tissue (fat compartments in the face), rising in a deeper firmness, and lifting effect, perfect for dropping, hollow cheeks. It contains 90mg hyaluronic acid (HA), compared to 64mg in Profhilo® and 20-25mg in dermal fillers.
