Your Eyes – Light & Bright
OUR EYES ARE WINDOWS TO THE WORLD, BUT WITHOUT SPECIFIC CARE AND ATTENTION, OFTEN BECOME TIRED, RED, DEHYDRATED AND PUFFY. IF YOUR EYES ARE IN NEED OF SOME REJUVENATION, WE HAVE SOME SOLUTIONS FOR YOU TO TRY.
You can start by giving your eyes a boost with home care. There are a few things you can do everyday to take good care of your eyes to help avoid some of the eye symptoms you would really rather do without!
Get plenty of sleep: The solution to many aesthetics around the face and body, good sleep is vital for overall health, but in particular to avoid tired eyes and eye recovery following the daily strains of screen use, pollutants etc.
Cold Compresses: For a quick at home fix to reduce puffiness and sooth tired eyes, applying a cold compress or chilled cucumber slices to the eyes can be effective to constrict blood vessels and reduce swelling.
Hydration: Keeping the skin around the eyes well-hydrated is crucial. Use products with hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and ceramides to maintain skin moisture. Not to mention keeping hydrated from within too with plenty of water, and avoid becoming dehydrated!
WHAT SHOULD I LOOK FOR IN AN EYE CREAM?
Daily use of factor 50 sunscreen will give the best care for your skin to protect from premature aging, and the eyes are no different to the other areas of your face. A good quality eye cream for day and night use will help to protect and recover the eyes. Look for eye creams that contain ingredients like hyaluronic acid, peptides, antioxidants, and retinol to hydrate the skin, reduce puffiness, and minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Retinoids, such as retinol and prescription-strength retinoids, can help stimulate collagen production, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and improve overall skin texture. They are often used as part of a skincare routine for the eye area. A topical vitamin C: acts as antioxidant that can help brighten the skin, reduce pigmentation, and protect against UV damage. Look for eye creams or serums containing high concentration of vitamin C to address these concerns.
We have a number of eye care products we recommend at our clinic in Marlow. IN-CLINIC AESTHETIC TREATMENTS FOR THE EYES
There are a range of cosmetic and surgical procedures to lighten and brighten your eyes, and address more advanced eye concerns. Traditionally, treatments such as dermal fillers add volume to hollow areas, and reduce the appearance of under-eye bags, or for more advanced concerns, surgical procedures like eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) can be considered. This can address sagging eyelids, excess skin, and fatty deposits around the eyes.
Medical innovation has since introduced some new non-invasive eye treatments such as Light Eyes Mesotherapy which uses a unique blend of hyaluronic acid, ruscosides, vitamin C and antioxidants, which when injected beneath the surface of the skin, rejuvenates and refreshes the eyes, addressing many more advanced eye concerns.
Light Eyes Mesotherapy’s clever concept uses fine needles, to administer the ingredients directly to the middle layer of the skin (the mesoderm) in the eye area. While its effectiveness can vary from person to person, here are some potential benefits associated with mesotherapy for the eyes.
Reducing puffiness: Mesotherapy injections can help reduce puffiness or bags under the eyes, making the eye area appear more refreshed and youthful.
Dark Circle Reduction: This treatment may help lighten and diminish the appearance of dark circles under the eyes, resulting in a brighter and more rested look.
Fine Line and Wrinkle Reduction: Mesotherapy can improve the texture and tone of the skin around the eyes, potentially reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Improved Skin Hydration: Many mesotherapy solutions contain hyaluronic acid, a substance known for its ability to retain water. Hyaluronic acid can help hydrate the skin and improve its overall moisture levels.
Skin Rejuvenation: Mesotherapy can promote collagen production and stimulate skin cell turnover, which can lead to overall skin rejuvenation and a more youthful appearance.
Customizable Treatments: The solution used in mesotherapy can be customized to address specific concerns and skin types, including combining it with other treatments such as Ameela, allowing for a more personalized approach to treatment.
Minimally Invasive: Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure, meaning it does not require surgery or extensive downtime. Most individuals can return to their regular activities shortly after treatment.
Gradual Results: Mesotherapy often provides gradual and natural-looking results, which can be appealing to individuals who prefer a subtle enhancement over more dramatic changes.
