The Non-Surgical Facelift – 3D Skin Med HIFU

3D Skinmed HIFU (high intensity focused ultrasound) is the latest addition to the suite of treatments offered at Springwell Clinic. We are proud to be one of the first clinics in the UK to offer this revolutionary non-surgical facelift treatment.

The treatment uses focused ultrasound energy to stimulate collagen in the deep support layers of the skin, resulting in the lifting and tightening the face and neck. It targets individually Brow lifting, Jowl line lifting, Nasolabial fold reduction, Periorbital wrinkle reduction and overall Skin tightening and rejuvenation.

The highly focused acoustic energy creates thermal coagulation zones at 3 different selected depths following which a wound healing response results in the formation of new collagen thus providing a longer term tightening of the skin.

The HIFU treatment is sometimes referred to as “Ulthera” or “Ultherapy”.  The procedure takes around 90 minutes and works because it stimulates the growth of new collagen, resulting in a lifted, firmer, more toned appearance. It is effective on any area of the face or neck with skin laxity issues, bringing increased definition to the face.

The improvements will develop over a period of 2 to 3 months and will continue over the following 6 months. The results last for a period of between 2 to 3 years.

This is a one off treatment with the huge advantage of no downtime. It is suitable for anyone who want to reduce areas of sagging skin in the face and neck.  As it is a non-surgical facelift procedure there is no potential for scaring and it is hardly surprising that it is becoming a popular alternative to traditional facelift surgery.
