HiFU has knocked years off my neck and jawline… I can’t stop touching it in complete joy

Having been quite pleased with the seemingly late aging of my jawline and neck, at aged 49, I started to notice the skin around my neck becoming saggy and loose, horizontal lines appearing, and my jawline dropping!
I’ve always thought I would allow myself to age naturally, until it starts to hit you, and you start to think of ways to stop it! I am not necessarily vain, and never thought I would resort to any aesthetic treatments, but when I was recommended to try HiFU at Springwell Clinic, I thought I had nothing to lose and to give it a try!
There are numerous anti-aging treatments out there, each addressing a variety of concerns. I was fairly knowledgeable about HiFU having read about it on the internet. HiFU or High Intensity Focussed is often marketed as a ‘non-invasive facelift’, using ultrasound beams to rapidly heat all the layers of the skin, destroying the cell tissue, causing the body to produce more elastin and collagen.
I arrived at my consultation with obvious apprehension that is normal when undergoing your first aesthetics treatment, but was very quickly felt at ease. The clinic is very clean, professional and extremely friendly, so I trusted my wonderful clinician Sophie immediately, and was happy to go ahead with the treatment there and then. Sophie explained the possible outcomes of the treatment, which takes 2 – 3 months to see any results, whilst explaining everything she was doing as she did it, carefully mapping out my face and preparing the different levels of intensity depending on the area.
I was slightly apprehensive about the pain, as you never know what your thresholds are until you try, but having had IPL on my face in the past, this was nothing compared to that! I would say uncomfortable but definitely bearable, and slightly more intense over bony areas.
Immediately after treatment, I felt achy around the face which can be alarming as you’ve just caused a massive trauma to the cell structure that was quite happily aging itself, but I was reassured this is totally normal and will subside after 24 hours or so, well for me, this was around 6 hours, so I wasn’t worried.
I had some concerns over a numbness in the skin under my chin. I even felt like it was sagging even more. I didn’t want to be one of these clients who complains as I was told it would take at least 2 months before I will see any changes, so I trusted the clinic on this and decided to be patient.
Well 3 months on, and the numbness has gone, and I cannot stop touching my neck in complete joy! It literally feels firm, like the neck of a 30 something! The horizontal lines on my neck have gone, but the major difference is the contour and definition of my jawline, as you can see in my before and after pictures.
I was shocked and incredibly pleased with how this treatment has given me a younger neck and jawline by a non-invasive treatment that works with the natural processes in the body.
It is truly amazing. The results will last 12-18 months too, so for the price, and the amount of difference it makes to your appearance, I think it is definitely worth it!
I will be going back for HiFU to give my cheeks and brows some lift, as it is just such a natural solution, and doesn’t feel or look like I’ve had an aesthetic treatment.
