First Wrinkle Reduction Injection?

ARE YOU CONSIDERING HAVING YOUR FIRST WRINKLE REDUCTION INJECTION? IF SO HERE ARE 5 THINGS YOU NEED TO CONSIDER BEFORE TAKING THE DECISION TO GO AHEAD WITH A TREATMENT.

1. WHO CAN I TRUST?

The most important part of your decision making process will be finding a practitioner you can trust. Nothing is more essential for a someone who is considering having their first wrinkle reduction injection than finding the person you can trust to look after your appearance. The more research you do the better your decision making process will be. Check out the clinic and the practitioner’s credentials. Find out how long they have been in business, how they were trained and if possible talk to people who have already undergone the treatment at the clinic you are considering.

2. WHAT ARE THE DESIRED RESULTS?

The outcome of a first wrinkle reduction injection should be to relax the lines in the area of your face that had been bothering you. The results can take a few days to become fully apparent but the look will be one that leaves you looking and feeling more youthful. A skilled practitioner knows ‘less is more’ and will be able to judge the correct amount to be used to make you look fresher but not “different”.

3. HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

It is not possible to give a precise time as to how long the effects of a first Botox injection will last, however as a new Botox client the usual length of time is around 3 to 4 months but it can be longer depending on the individual. Again a skilled practitioner will be able to ensure the timing of future injections are right for your needs. After a year or so you may notice the more treatments you have the less you need, this is because Botox causes facial muscles to stop wrinkling the skin, so overtime it will look smoother and smoother.

4. WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS?

Wrinkle reduction such as Botox has been administered to patients across the world safely for the past 20 years. A fully trained and experienced practitioner will ensure there will be no longterm side effects. A possible consequence of a treatment is minor swelling or bruising, which will clear in a matter of days.

5. BOTULINUM TOXIN IS NOT JUST FOR WRINKLES.

Botulinum Toxin (Botox) can also be used to prevent excessive sweating or hyperhidrosis. It works by stopping the nerves in the affected area signalling the sweat glands to start working and secrete sweat. It is most commonly used to treat underarms, palms and feet. Another use for Botulinum Toxin is to reduce excess muscle activity that cause spams. In this instance the injection is made into the muscle affected and works by blocking the release of the chemical messenger responsible for making the muscle contract.

Springwell Clinic Practitioners are fully trained and experienced Botulinum Toxin injectors. Stephanie Green is the clinic owner and director who has a 24 year history of delivering first class results to clients. She also validated Allergans UK Botox training program, there were only 15 of these in the whole of the UK.  Rossella Angellilis is Springwells Aesthetic Nurse Prescriber and is a fully qualified advanced Botulinum Toxin practitioner with 15 years of clinical experience.

All of Springwell Clinics treatments are delivered under clinical governance, so you can be sure you will be receiving the best care, and natural looking results that bring out the best in your facial biodynamics. Botox has become a generic term for wrinkle reduction procedures, and we also use other equivalent brands that are as safe and highly effective such as Bocouture™ and Azzalure™. The choice of Botulinum Toxin-A will depend on your age, previous treatment use and what is recommended by your nurse practitioner to best suit you.
