COMMON QUESTIONS

FAQ

  • Swedish massage is a whole-body therapeutic massage treatment that works the soft tissues and muscles to help restore health - creating a calming and balancing effect on the nervous system. It uses softer strokes on bonier and more delicate parts of the body, and stronger, deeper strokes on thicker muscle.

  • Unlike deep tissue or sports massage, Swedish massage focuses on relaxation and gentle muscle relief rather than targeting deeper muscle layers or addressing specific injuries.

  • Item descriptionHot stone massage uses heated basalt stones placed on specific points of the body. The heat relaxes muscles, making it easier to access deeper tissue. The combination of heat and pressure eases muscle stiffness, improves circulation, and calms the mind.

  • Apart from soothing tight muscles and boosting well-being, Swedish massage improves blood circulation, reduces emotional and physical stress, helps keep ligaments and tendons supple, improves range of movement, and eases back pain and chronic pain.

  • Wear clothes that are easy to remove. You will be covered with towels throughout. Please let your practitioner know of any medical conditions or if you may be pregnant. It's best to avoid heavy meals and alcohol in the hours leading up to your massage.

  • We offer 30-minute, 45-minute and 60-minute sessions for both Swedish and Hot Stone massage, allowing you to choose the duration that best suits your needs.
